After ten years of hits and misses, Tarryn became the lead singer of BlackByrd. The female band consisted of three members. It topped many charts. Their award-winning debut album, Strong (2012), is one of their known work.

Lamb wrote All for Me, which the Gauteng and Western Cape radio stations voted as the 2012’s SA song of the year. SABC breakfast show Espresso adopted another song she wrote titled I Feel Good Today as their theme song. As a solo artist, she has many hit singles.

The label EMI Records approached them for a record deal. Tarryn Lamb joins Carl Wastie on The Flash Drive on Kfm. She took over from Zoë Brown after he left Kfm in June.
